tHe HaUnTeD kArAk HiGhWaY !

It has been so long since i have shared something in this blog.Finally the time has arrived.Without a further ado,let me come to the point.Few weeks ago (forgot exactly when was it) i went to watch a local horror movie titled 'KARAK' in cinema with my friends.To be honest,the movie was so lame,kinda confusing,and didnt make sense at some part (dont judge a book by its cover ; dont judge a movie by its trailer).The main theme of the movie revolves around the very famous Malaysian urban legend--> the haunted Karak highway..most of us should have read or heard of this before.according to the producers of this film,the story was inspired by true events.After coming back from cinema,i did a little research about this.Based on my so called research,the beginning scenes are the only one inspired by true events.This particular scene is little creepy,but the same time kinda hard to believe.

It was late nite when a young couple and their baby travelling by car along the Karak Highway.As they were travelling along the lonely stretch of the Karak highway,suddenly,their car gave a jerk and started making weird noises.The husband was fairly surprised,because he alredy checked the car as they are going to make a long journey.Thats it..Their car stopped by the roadside.The husband got out of the car to check the car's engine while his wife and baby was waiting in the car. After a few minutes, he came back and reported that he could not see anything wrong and tried starting the car again. However, the car just would not budge. At last, the husband made a difficult decision to either wait until another car comes along or walk along the road to find some helping hand.With an heavy heart,the husband made his decision to leave his wife and baby behind to look for some help.He adviced his wife to lock the car and stay inside until he come back.His wife, on the other hand, watched her husband walk away with worries on her mind. She prayed hard that someone would eventually notice their stalled car and offer help. She was also worried that accidents might happen.

Hours passed by and soon she started getting even more worried. She was worried something might happen to her husband. Worried, she fought with herself over if she should just keep on waiting or leave the car behind and look for her husband.She played the Quran prayers casette as she was so scared.Suddenly,she started to hear some weird noises around her and her baby started cry..She realised that somthing was wrong and the radio stopped working.Finally a patrol carrived arrived in the scene.The pollice officers asked her to come out of the car and warned her not to look back ! In the end, she decided to get out of the car to stretch her legs. As soon as she came out of the car, she realized that something was staring at her from behind. As she turned, she saw the bodyless head of her husband with his eyes and mouth wide open as if in shock staring back.And ya..I forgot something..An annoying and ugly creature was eating the remains of his body while standing on top of the car (thats what they call as man eating Karak highway ghost).

Most of the time the stories about Karak Highway varies, afterall, its an urban legend ! Anyway,until now its still an unsolved mystery.I have even discussed about travelling along this road one day with my friends.hahah...thats all from me now..In & Out :D

I am a free thinker.

"I am an free thinker." this is what i am. Actually i had comes through all the religion except for Islam. That day when i am watching "Chennai 60028" in tv2 on last Sunday before teaching my students, there where two guys and two kids come to visit all the neighborhoods from house to house. That time a Chinese who believe in Christ he had come and ask me do you think the world should end in 2012. I ask him why should it end on 2012. His explanation is ya because it is an reset button for the earth. Based on the bible "one day the world will be washed out and human will reborn." and then he ask me many question, and i answer him everything based on science. He ask me to answer name him a things in my house that not made by human. Actually i wanted to tell him that the vegetables and the eggs in my fridge. but don't want to shock him with my answer. then he give me one book which really written in Tamil. and then he ask me whether i can read tamil or not. then an indian who is also believe in Christ had come and read it for me. "like la i don't know how to read tamil". then he answer a question in the books. the question sounds like this. What will happen to those who past away. then he says based on their believing those who death, will lose all their 6 senses. and they will go to the heaven or hell.
Based on me. its all co-related to science. as i know there are only two gods. 1 is my mom and another one is my father. without them i am not here. then for the question what will happens to you after death. its so simple. you wont go to hell or heaven. but u will be with the earth. whatever belongs to earth its be with earth. based on chemistry. what happen to the carbon and oxygen that react. its becomes a carbon dioxide. and that is an compound of carbon and oxygen. so its still in this world. then many of you will ask why are you in this world. its so simple too. you are here because you are belongs to this world. when you come through all the religion there are some similarities and some differences. when come to race there are only one race in this world. that is human race. spirits in you. your are the spirit.

believe in you, trust in you, you will excel in your life.
no offense. no racism. everything will be fine.
no commitment, no disappointment, nobody gets hurts.

Kilimanjaro !

Hey ! I'm back ! This time , it's about Kilimanjaro ! Well , many of u noe , 'Kilimanjaro' is tha title of a song in a forthcoming Tamil science fiction film , Enthiran. But there are some out there who doesn't noe tat Kilimanjaro is actually a mountain (Yes ! It's a mountain !).

Kilimanjaro , is an inactive stratovolcano (I have no idea wat's stratovolcano) in north-eastern Tanzania and the highest mountain in Africa at 5,893 metres or 19,334 ft above sea level (the Uhuru Peak/Kibo Peak). Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world. ( Freestanding mountain is a mountain on sea level, meaning it is not in a mountain range)

9 Interesting Facts about Mount Kilimanjaro !

• Kilimanjaro has three volcanic cones, Mawenzi, Shira and Kibo. Mawenzi and Shira are extinct but Kibo, the highest peak, is dormant and could erupt again. The most recent activity was about 200 years ago; the last major eruption was 360,000 years ago.
• Nearly every climber who has summitted Uhuru Peak, the highest summit on Kibo’s crater rim, has recorded his or her thoughts about the accomplishment in a book stored in a wooden box at the top.
• The oldest person ever to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro was 87-year-old Frenchman Valtee Daniel.
• Almost every kind of ecological system is found on the mountain: cultivated land, rain forest, heath, moorland, alpine desert and an arctic summit.
• The fasted verified ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro occurred in 2001 when Italian Bruno Brunod summitted Uhuru Peak in 5 hours 38 minutes 40 seconds. The fastest roundtrip was accomplished in 2004, when local guide Simon Mtuy went up and down the mountain in 8:27. (A roundtrip takes 5 days !)
• The mountain’s snow caps are diminishing, having lost more than 80 percent of their mass since 1912. In fact, they may be completely ice free within the next 20 years, according to scientists. (Earth is getting hot! We are responsible!)
• Shamsa Mwangunga, National Resources and Tourism minister of Tanzania, announced in 2008 that 4.8 million indigenous trees will be planted around the base of the mountain, helping prevent soil erosion and protect water sources.
• South African Bernard Goosen twice scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro in a wheelchair. His first summit, in 2003, took nine days; his second, four years later, took only six. Born with cerebral palsy, Goosen used a modified wheelchair, mostly without assistance, to climb the mountain.(Impossible is Nothing !)
• Approximately 25,000 people attempt to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro annually. Approximately two-thirds are successful. Altitude-related problems is the most common reason climbers turn back.

So , tat's Kilimanjaro ! I hope to ascend it & reach Uhuru Peak one day ! (Long term plan!) :D

Hello everyone ! Finally , i got sum time 2 update ma blog ! Referring to tha title , i watched the movie 'Piranha' last Tuesday . 'Piranha' is an awesome movie & quite violent (Viewer Discretion Is Advised ) ! Afta tha movie , I began to wonder .. Are Piranhas really that aggressive ? Afta sum research with tha help of Google , I found sum interesting facts about Piranhas .

• Piranhas' natural habitat is the freshwater rivers of the Amazon in South America.
• Piranha have a fast metabolism, which means they digest their food very quickly.
• Piranha are mostly carnivores, which means that they need to eat protein, meat or fish.
• The word for scissors in the *Tupi Indian language is piranha. *Tupi are a tribe from the Amazon region of Brazil.
• Piranhas are known for their sharp, pointed teeth and shark like feeding frenzies, but the threat to humans is largely exaggerated.
• The piranha is usually small [the red piranha grows no longer than 13 inches].
• Their teeth are set in powerful jaws, and top and bottom teeth interlock, giving the freshwater fish its ability to tear and rip flesh.
• Their teeth are so tough they can bite through a steel fishing hook. ( Tat's damn tough ! )
• There are between 30 and 40 species of piranha, and not all are strictly carnivorous. In fact, some consume large quantities of seeds.

Actually Piranhas are not as aggressive as shown in this movie ! They are known to attack humans , occasionally . And yes , they are attracted to blood ! ( Piranhas can sense blood in water ) They only attack when they are in a large group and only the weakest prey . ( Be strong if you face one ! ) Tat's all for now !
